T0 cashback is capped at 5 USDT/month. That's the "1% cashback". it stops after $500 in spending. Beyond that, you earn nothing. T1 bumps to 50 USDT/month ($5K spend to cap), T4 to 250 USDT/month. If you spend $2,000/month at T0, your effective cashback rate is 0.25%
You must already be a Gate VIP to matter. The tiers are locked to Gate.io VIP levels (T0=VIP 0-4, T1=VIP 5-7, T4=VIP 10-14). Your VIP status is determined by 30-day trading volume on the exchange. If you don't actively trade on Gate.io, you're stuck at T0 regardless of card spending.
Cashback is points, not crypto. You don't earn BTC, ETH, or USDT directly. You earn points. 100 points = 1 USDT. You must manually redeem at minimum 50 points (0.5 USDT).
Physical card replacement costs $25. Chargeback costs $30.
Gate Card charges a 2% fee on all ATM withdrawals. On a $5,000 withdrawal, that's $100. The $5,000 is just the daily cap, not a free allowance.
