Simple's custodial business is dead. Stored Assets Ltd permanently ceased all custodial wallet commercial activities on 30 June 2026. The Custodial EUR card hangs on because it's issued by Unlimit (a separate company), but the wallet that funded it is withdrawal-only.
You are transacting with four different legal entities when you use Simple: Simple Europe UAB (self-custody, Lithuania), Stored Assets Ltd (custody — dead, Bulgaria), Unlimit EU Limited (custodial card, Cyprus), and Wirex Limited (non-custodial card, UK). If something goes wrong, you're navigating four jurisdictions, four regulators, and four complaints processes.
The non-custodial card charges a 2% crypto conversion fee baked into the exchange rate.
Wirex reserves the right to charge a storage fee of £/$/€5/month per balance after 9 months of inactivity, and 0.003 BTC (or equivalent) per crypto per day after 18 months.

Non-Custodial Crypto Card: Global — excludes Wirex Prohibited Countries (AF, KP, CD, ER, LY, SO, SS, SD, YE, IR, IQ, CU, SY, ML, CF, GW, LB + sanctioned jurisdictions)
Stored Assets Ltd permanently ceased all custodial wallet commercial activities on 30 June 2026. The custodial platform is now withdrawal-only. Users must withdraw all crypto and fiat balances. The custodial card (Unlimit-issued) and self-custodial wallet remain operational.
