- This is a pre-order. $95 gets you a spot in line, not a working card. Q3 2026 general availability is aspirational, no guarantees.
"No KYC" + "physical Visa card" = regulatory unicorn. Visa issuer rules require KYC for cardholders. BitSWYPE's workaround — the card only stores your xpub — may not satisfy Visa's compliance requirements at scale.
- Company entity is a black box. "BitSWYPE, a SAXA Company" has no published legal entity, no registration number, no jurisdiction, no address. You're sending $95 to a company you cannot verify exists.
Cold wallet NFC compatibility is the entire product, and it's unproven. Trezor Model T has no NFC. Ledger Nano X has limited NFC. Coldcard Mk4 has NFC via partially signed transactions but it's clunky. The "tap wallet to card" workflow is a hardware bet that may not work with existing devices.
The Rain-to-Visa conversion path already routes through Visa rails, meaning the card IS subject to Visa's terms even if BitSWYPE doesn't do KYC. Visa can revoke the BIN/program at any time.
THE REAL STORY ON THIS CARD.
- No KYC
- Truly non-custodial, private keys never leave your cold wallet; air-gapped PSBT signing
- Cold storage + real-world spending, the first product to bridge this gap at POS
- 1.5% conversion fee is competitive with Lightning/L2 spending solutions
- No apps required, card works standalone after one-time NFC sync
- <10 second checkout speed — competitive with traditional card payments
- PRE-ORDER only
- Physical card only, no virtual card for online shopping or card-not-present transactions
- Bitcoin-only
- Company and regulatory framework NOT DISCLOSED, "BitSWYPE, a SAXA Company" has no legal entity published
- No ATM support disclosed
- Cold wallet NFC tap workflow is unproven, few (if any) hardware wallets have working NFC that can pass PSBTs
- No published country list, no limits, no fee schedule beyond 1.5%
- "No KYC" + physical Visa card raises serious regulatory viability questions
GENERAL QUESTIONS.
$95 one-time pre-order purchase. 1.5% conversion fee per transaction. No monthly fees disclosed.
The card sends an unsigned transaction (PSBT) to your cold wallet via NFC. You sign offline on the hardware wallet. The signed transaction is broadcast via the card. Private keys never leave the cold wallet.
NOT DISCLOSED. The card is positioned for POS spending — ATM support is not mentioned anywhere on the site.
Trezor, Coldcard, Ledger, ElliPal, and "all mainstream wallets." NFC compatibility with these devices is a critical hardware dependency.
NO. The FAQ explicitly states "Privacy: No KYC." This is unprecedented for a physical Visa card and may change before launch.
