Description.

Ripe Money PTE LTD is a stablecoin payments platform for Asia, founded in 2023 by Chuck Lam (CEO) and Sam Silver. The company was born in The Philippines when Lam, a serial founder with a PhD from Stanford, created a crypto gaming guild and discovered unbanked players with sophisticated crypto knowledge but no way to cash out their earnings. Ripe solves the gap between stablecoins and everyday spending by connecting crypto wallets to existing QR-based e-wallet payment rails across Southeast Asia. The platform serves freelancers, online workers, and consumers who earn in stablecoins but need local fiat currency for daily spending.

Ripe currently supports USDT, USDC, and USDG on Solana and Aptos, with near-term plans to support Base, Stellar, Celo, Stable, and Plasma. The company is registered as a Money Services Business with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and partners with Tether as a launch partner for the t-0 payment network. Ripe raised $2M in a Pre-Seed round on September 29, 2022, led by Alliance VC and Earlybird Venture Capital.
